An eerie silence fell over the ward, as my 83-year-old mother whispered "There goes another one!" 

"I want you to have a life - get out there - have fun - do everything you want to do!" As the body bag glided past, she muttered, "Don't leave it too late!!"

I wanted to travel and be financially secure - I even lived abroad for a number of years. But stuff happens - and things don't always go to plan!
